What is the Home & School Association?

The Bennington Heights Home & School Association (Bennington Parents) is an independent, parent-driven not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting our school and enriching the experience of every Bennington student.

​

Run entirely by parent volunteers, Bennington Parents brings our community together through events, activities and initiatives throughout the school year. So much of what makes Bennington special is made possible by our parent community!

• Welcome Back Meet & Greet — welcoming new and returning families

• Movie Night — a family movie night in the school gym

• Halloween Haunt — school gym turned over the top haunted house 

• Holiday Bazaar — families donate used goods for students to go holiday shopping for loved ones 

• Taste of Bennington — celebrating our school’s many cultures and traditions

• Starry Nights - biennial parent gala to fundraise for the Home & School Association

• Fun Fair — our biggest community celebration of the year with inflatables, games, and more

• Graduation Celebrations — celebrating our SK and Grade 6 students

• Pizza & Hot Lunch Programs — fun and convenient lunch options

• Spirit Wear — showing off our Bulldog pride

• Yearbook — capturing memories from the school year

And that's just the beginning! Our parent volunteers are always coming up with new ideas to bring our community together.

Where Does the Money Go?​

​

Funds raised by Bennington Parents go directly towards funding future events, in addition to enriching the school experience and creating opportunities for our students in other ways.

​

Depending on the needs and priorities of the school, this can include:

• Technology, classroom resources and teacher materials

• Sports equipment and team jerseys

• Special programs 

• Field trips and special student experiences

• Arts, music and cultural programming

• School-wide activities and family events

Our goal is simple: to enrich our student's experience at school  — making an already amazing  Bennington education even better.
